After 7 months of development, 5.20 is finished and available in the download section.

Some things to say about the concept in general and 5.20 in particular:

The concept is to deal with one or two major topics in each release. Try covering these topics completely to catch up with modern standards. Then the following releases will deal with other topics.

What are the topics for 5.20 then?

(1) all the scripts output to the browser fullfills what is needed today:
All output is valid HTML.
All output is on CSS, allowing flexibility for design.
New option of adding custom HTML nearly everywhere in between the output. Even more options for design and layout.

(2) new default setup
5.20 offers a default setup which will be usefull for newbies as well as for those not interested in special knowledge about scripts setup options.
Needless say, old experienced regulars have all options of creating whatever individal setup they already have with their existing boards or for future installs.

Not a topic but a side effect:
Starting from Darryl's 5.12 we changed hundreds of lines of codes and on the fly changed a lot of code to make the scripts more efficient regarding use of CPU and memory on the server.

Besides we added some minor features such as reparenting messages without restriction, print benchmarks and the like. Those interested may read the appropriate pages on the docs board.
