Here is another optional configuration as a new subtype of the "compressed" index view.

That's an entry script set 'readonly' and to a fixed display of compressed index and guestbook-style message display. This is to keep the display type from being overwritten by what's stored in our cookies for this default discussion board.

This new listing style will be available in the next release (6.10). Planned to be released 4th quarter if all goes well.
