Re: The license thing: Think *free*dom not *free*

The whole point here, from my perspective, is to open things up so that others can freely develop WebBBS (and my other scripts, as well, for that matter) independently or in groups. If there's any chance at all of resurrecting the scripts, that's where it lies.

I can't see any way to keep the scripts (as they stand now) as shareware without undermining that intent. My days of making money off the scripts are clearly over.

HOWEVER....

If there's something I should or should not do in order to allow others to release their own modified versions as shareware, let me know. I have no inherent problem with the idea of someone else trying to make some money off of a version that's substantially their own code rather than mine.

Does the "dual license" arrangement allow that?
