OK, I'll freely admit that discussions of licensing issues quickly get over my head when they get much past the "I own the code and you can't redistribute it" basis on which my scripts have thus far worked. And I haven't read all the posts here in detail.

But....

Doesn't distributing the scripts under the GNU license and allowing anyone to modify and/or redistribute them rather completely undermine any possibility of keeping them as shareware?
