webbbs.css is a million miles long and full of variables that I dont understand, so finding the parts that I need to make transparent is seeming impossible to me.

Open the file and read the comments. All colors are defined at the top, well ... almost all colors

There's a comment where "colorstuff" starts and ends, between is ..... almost all "colorstuff".

You may as well use a texteditor to search for "background-color" or "color" and copy that item over to site.css. You may only override the color, leave the rest alone (uncopied).

If you want me to do it, that's possible of course, but only as hands-on support. Don't mind to fiddle single items here and there, but rewriting a colorscheme is a bet more than I can do for free here on the forum. Anyway, with the information above I'm confident you'll get it done.

Oh... and don't forget: white writing on white background is hardly visible
