No problem, I cant believe you can remember all of the users
I upgraded to the stable release by just overwriting my lib as you said and have no issues.. And thanks for the send email fix.. it is now forcing users to put in a return email address..
I also did check out the pro demo.. I do like the multiple file upload function, but is it possible to not have gallery enabled, and use it just for posting images in single posts?
if I were to upgrade to pro, do all forums have to update to it? or is it possible to use it just on a few without having separate scripts folders?
Basically I just want users to be able to upload more than one image in their posts, dont necessarily need a gallery
: arghh....... my memory starts playing tricks at me
: Sorry, I've screwed up nicknames and sites. Thought your nick is
: assoiciated to the transitchat site. My bad.
: Now I know who you are and which site you're running - memory is
: back, hopefully it holds for some time
: OK, here we go.
: Click on the Demo link in the navbar to the left of this page.
: On the page where demos are listed, take the last link "check
: out the gallery".
: There you can play with both, public and admin side of the PRO
: thing with gallery feature enabled.
: The multiple file upload thingy works independ from the old
: built-in feature and can be used as an alternate upload or as an
: addition.
: It's possible to upload all sort of files, not only images. It's a
: bit tricky for configuration, but as PRO comes with install
: service anyway, that's no issue to worry about.
: Multiple file upload, gallery and automatic image resizing are all
: separate features, can be enabled/disabled each by its own.
: The demo is enabled for resizing images on the fly as well as for
: creating thumbnails.
: Regarding the gallery feature: the 'main' image of each post is
: used for the gallery. "Main" is either the one
: uploaded by core utility or the first image uploaded with
: multiple file upload.
: And .... the current PRO can display the image uploaded by core
: utility at the top of the page (above text). So it's possible to
: use the core upload for a representative image of the post and
: then have the multiple embedded files uploaded as an
: illustration inside the post.
: .... lots of options.
: However, most of the forums where PRO is installed are using the
: defaults, like the demo does. Some are limited to images, others
: are not. The most active one certainly is thechipboard.com. Take
: a look there and for testing please use the demo.
: Sorry again for not remembering your nick immediately.
