6.2 installation trouble.

Just to set the tone, I'm computer savvy and an old Cobol programmer. I think I'm in over my with these scripts.

My host is Network Solutions. It comes with two directories in the root- cgi-bin and htdocs. Everything is going into htdocs. I've followed the installation instructions carefully, I thought. I've changed the base directory in the three config.pl scripts, I've chmoded appropriately, and FTPed the proper directories. I can get the smiley face to come up, but that's it. When I point my browser to run the webbbs_config.pl script I get a 404 error, page not found. I've checked and rechecked everything several times.

I'm at the limit of my very limited knowledge. I'm sure it's something stupid. Any advice? Thanks, in advance.
