In theory yes, but I've never tested.

You should have set up an ADMIN entry script for the archive already. Make a copy of this admin entry script.
In section(2) of this special "reverse" archiving script, adjust the following variables to point to your LIVE forums data_subdirs:

example, you MUST check how it is set on YOUR server

$archive_subdir = "/main";

# if THIS is an admin-script for an archive, define the following:
$live_subdir = "/main";

Before you try to unarchive your testmessages, make a testpost and response to your live forum. Archive them, then "unarchive" using the reverse archive entry script.
