Hi Jim.

Yep. It's a problem on the facebook side. What they don't tell people is that links using "QUERY_STRING"(s) - the stuff behind the "?" in URLs is not handled correctly by their application.

When I last looked into the issue the solution was to change the URL format of the forums to use "SearchFriendlyURLs". Inother words, set it to "1". More information is here:
