I want users to receive the forum posts by mail, but not have the option to unsubscribe directly from the navbar

In the past unsubscribing was unusual and I do not want to mess up the design.

: Keep a feature but disallow (un-)subscribing?
: How much sense makes the feature if nobody can either subscribe nor
: unsubscribe?
