Navbars in 6.x by design are two lines, like here on this board. top line and subnavbar line.
In an attempt to have those few items on your list show in only one line there are a few CSS tricks in your site.css file. Applied them to make it look almost like the old (5.3) one - however it still is two DIVs.
It's all CSS.
