TetraBB PRO Documentation
Requirements
TetraBB PRO is an extension for Tetra-WebBBS forum software. It's designed to work 'on top' of Tetra-WebBBS and enhance it's functionality, features and flexibility in usage. However, a few requirements must be met to get TetraBB PRO working on a server:
- Working default installation of Tetra-WebBBS
Installing TetraBB PRO "on top" of Tetra-WebBBS obviously requires the basic version installed in a working condition AND according to the defaults/standards described in the documentation.Compatibility table TetraBB PRO version requires Tetra-WebBBS 0.1x (released 2008) 0.540 (developmental version) 0.20 (released 2009) 6.1x - DB_File
The PRO extension makes use of special features provided by the Berkeley Database.
Thus the alternate DBM databases supported by Tetra-WebBBS and prior WebBBS versions can't be used by TetraBB PRO.
Fortunately this should not be any problem as the Berkeley Database and DB_File are supposed to be available on all Linux or other *nix servers. On Windows servers the underlying database most likely is available as well, only DB_File may need to be installed. - But that's not a biggie and recommend anyway ever since. - HTML::Template
In the long run the forums will become a fully templated system for even more flexible customization. The PRO extension is based on templates from the beginning.
The templating system is based on a common framework where HTML::Template is it's base Perl module.
