TetraBB PRO is designed to work as an extension to Tetra-WebBBS.

In order to simplify upgrades to the PRO version, it's possible to keep all Tetra-WebBBS entry scripts in place. Since Tetra-WebBBS 6.10 all entry scripts are prepared to pick up what's provided by the PRO extension automatically.

TetraBB PRO offers a variety of extra features to operate your forum(s) via it's entry scripts.
Of course it's possible to run only ONE forum per entry script as it was ever since in WebBBS, but the PRO extension allows to run several forums via one entry script as well. TetraBB PRO allows you to configure portals for various purposes. e.g.: a portal for live forums only, a portal for archives or a custom portal you might require.

One important note though:
As of TetraBB PRO version 0.20 shared forum access via portals is ONLY available for admin entry scripts.
Public entry scripts will gain the full functionality as soon as possible. Until then it's possible to address multiple boards via one public entry script, but without usage of a portal.
The current status of portal access for admins (and possibly moderators via different portals) is a first step which makes administration of larger sites much more convenient. The public portal access will follow during further development.
